Nestled between Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach, this small coastal town emerged as a vibrant cultural and entertainment hub for Black families in the South.

During its peak in the mid-20th century, Atlantic Beach was a beacon for African American culture, known for its lively atmosphere, music, and celebrations. It became a hotspot for world-class entertainment, hosting legendary artists from the realms of jazz, blues, and R&B.
